At that time, i was quite fan of the lo-fi music of Sebadoh. But this gig was a huge deception.
First of all, support band Pond was without interest. Then came Lou and his pals... and they were acting like if they were f***ing Beach Boys ! Complaining about the sound, spend so looooooong time to have the perfect sound balance, starting a tune then stop because it was not good enough to their ears.
Hey guys, you were supposed to be the kings of the amateurish... not Asia !
I think they were acting like miserabilist poseurs... juste boring !
After that, i think it was not so long than i sold all my collection of lo-fi crappy bands.
You know, mates, begining of the 90's was a hard time for indie rockers : grunge then lo-fi...
Bad times.
